FOOD & CLOTHES

AGAPÉ
The Agapè Centre is the largest food bank and soup kitchen program in Cornwall, Ontario supporting over 1200 people each month. The Agapè Centre was founded in 1971 with the simple belief that no man, woman or child should go hungry. Agapè is a Greek word that means love and it is with dignity, compassion, openness and respect that we serve those in need in our community.

Friperie de l’ACFO SDG
ACFO SDG is the umbrella organization for Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, offering innovative community, cultural, recreational and economic services to a proud and diverse community. ACFO SDG in a partnership with the Secondary School la Citadelle, is offering a free furniture and clothing.

House of Lazarous
House of Lazarus is a non-profit organization that works with the community to ensure that people have the basics of life. Our food bank and many outreach programs offer food, clothing, household goods, furniture and housing supports to those in need. Our Linking Hands program is a voice for people living in poverty.

Lighthouse
The Lighthouse Drop-in Centre provides free clothing, shoes, accessories and more to those in need. Opening at 6:30 PM on Tuesday

The Conseil scolaire du district catholique de l’Est ontarien is a French Catholic school board.

UCDSB
The Upper Canada District School Board is an English public school board.

CDSBEO
The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario is an English Catholic school board.

TRLIS
TR Leger Immigrant Services has been assisting newcomers to Eastern Ontario region since August 2008. TRLIS is a part of the Upper Canada District School Board and operates under the TR Leger School.

Job Zone d’emploi is a non-profit, all-inclusive organization that prepares, guides and assists individuals, in English and in French, to find employment through employment and career counselling, information resources, job opportunities and access to community and outreach services.

HEALTH & WELLBEING

SASS for Women
Committed to the support of victims/survivors who have experienced sexual violence; and the prevention and elimination of that form of violence. Our place is non-judgmental; open to all women, regardless of ability, race, religion, socio-economic status, culture and sexual orientation. We are a beacon for these women in the community.

Mental Health Services
There are two components to the mental health crisis response in the community to help people with serious mental health problems. This could include situational crisis, psychosis, severe depression or anxiety, or suicidal thoughts (not needing immediate medical attention).

Maison Baldwin House
Maison Baldwin House’s Mission is to assist women and their children in the transition from violent and abusive circumstances to a safe and secure environment and a renewed family by providing safe shelter and services, and encouraging them to realize their full human potential.

Maison Interlude House
Maison Interlude House is a Francophone organization offering a range of services, in French and in English, in the counties of Prescott, Russell, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry to help support women, their children and youth, in building a future without violence.

PLEO
Our Mission is to foster positive outcomes for families with children to age 25 facing mental health challenges by providing family peer support and by amplifying the family voice for system change.

Équipe psycho-sociale
The mental health services at l’Équipe psycho-sociale are community-based services that provide prevention, support, counselling, therapy, consultations, assessments and family coaching for children, youth, and their families. These services are offered by a qualified, bilingual, multidisciplinary team of professionals.

CSCE
The Centre de santé communautaire de l’Estrie appreciates and understands the needs of Francophone and vulnerable populations in the communities of Eastern Ontario. We provide the highest quality of primary health care and community services, work in partnership with other organizations to improve access to the continuum of services, and act as a navigator and coordinator of these services for the population.

SETTLEMENT

CÉSOC
The mission of the CÉSOC is to support the economic and socio-community development of members of the Francophone community of immigrant origin, of the Francophone racial and ethnocultural minority (MREF), by creating tools, promoting rights, and delivery of services, to facilitate racial and cultural harmony by promoting a multicultural Francophonie, to ensure the defense and promotion of the rights of the Francophone racial and ethnocultural minority, but also of the Francophonie as a whole.

TRLIS
TR Leger Immigrant Services has been assisting newcomers to Eastern Ontario region since August 2008. TRLIS is a part of the Upper Canada District School Board and operates under the TR Leger School. TRLIS is funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, and is dedicated to serving Permanent Residents, Live-in-Caregivers and Convention Refugees with settlement and immigration needs.

EASTERN ONTARIO TRAINING BOARD
The mandate of the EOTB has remained consistent since the agency was incorporated in 1998 – to ensure access to quality local labour market information; engage employers to help identify skill gaps, employment opportunities and training needs; support stronger linkages among employment service providers and help job seekers obtain skills to become employed. The agency has branched out to address the needs of newcomers to our community, including individuals who have moved to the Cornwall area from other communities and countries.

HOUSING

Ontario Works
Ontario Works is administered by the Cornwall SDG Human Services Department. We provide income and employment assistance for people in temporary financial need. Eligibility will depend on your circumstances. The amount depends on your family size, accommodation costs, your income and assets and your willingness to participate in approved activities.

A Plus Management
A Plus Management offers a full range of services to tenants. They can help you find an apartment or house that meets your needs. A Plus Management offre une gamme complète de services aux locataires. Ils peuvent vous aider à trouver un appartement ou une maison qui correspond à vos besoins.

AFIF
The Association des Femmes Immigrantes Francophones Cornwall-SDG (AFIF) aims to promote the development of Francophone immigrant women and girls, and promotes living together while fostering cultural exchange.

BGC
To provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.

CCÉC
Francophone organization for elders – Le Centre Charles-Émile-Claude vous accueille
Le CCEC offre une multitude de services et des programmes pour les personnes âgées francophones de 50 ans et plus.

Centre culturel les 3 petits points
Francophone cultural center – Rassembleur de culture francophone, le Centre culturel Les trois p’tits points contribue au rayonnement et à la vitalité de sa communauté.

L’Amalgame
Francophone organization – L’Amalgame des arts de la langue française et du Théâtre offre aux résidents de Cornwall et de ses environs l’opportunité de découvrir des œuvres d’art ainsi que de participer à la création artistique en langue française.
